The Rankin Vault Lounge is locally owned and operated. It opened in July 2008 and immediately became a favorite local hangout. The Vault was on the cutting edge of Asheville’s cocktail scene, offering a creative cocktail menu featuring fresh and unique ingredients. The drink list rotates seasonally and is well-known for the house Margarita and Specialty Martinis.

The Vault’s food menu features farm-fresh, local products, hormone-free meats and offers a wide variety of fare, from salads and sandwiches, to nachos. The delectable Vault Burger features 100% grass-fed beef from Hickory Nut Gap. The Vault originally staked its claim as having the best burger in Asheville by winning the first annual WNC Battle of the Burger in 2014. The following year, The Vault upheld it’s title by winning the People’s Choice award at the 2015 Battle of the Burger, and brought home the title again in 2016. The Vault has continued to claim the People’s Choice award at the 2017, 2018 & 2019 Battle.

Located in the Imperial Life Insurance Building near the corner of College Street and Rankin Avenue, The Vault features a custom walnut bar, local draft beers and patio seating. The namesake bank vault, was built (1920’s) by the Mosler Safe Company, which is perfect for groups. Vault opens daily at 12pm and serves amazing food, local beer and custom cocktails nightly.
